Location Bavaria

For decades aerospace has been a large industry in Bavaria, growth of which shall now be supported by the Bavarian state government. Already in 2015 about 60,000 people were employed in aerospace firms throughout Bavaria, generating revenue streams of about 7 billion Euro.

Bavaria features all important infrastructure for a healthy and sustainable aerospace industry. Even in research many institutions are widely known:

In 1990-2015 the state of Bavaria invested more than 200 million Euros in aerospace, which resulted in the Galileo control center in Oberpfaffenhofen, for example. Further support from the Bavarian aerospace research program was received by Clusterplattform bavAIRia, Bauhaus Luftfahrt, Anwendungszentrum Oberpfaffenhofen as well as the Ludwig Bölkow Campus. According to “Bavaria One”, latter one shall soon be home the Europe’s largest aerospace faculty.
